Winston Hauw’s keen interest in the LASALLE Asian Art Histories programme arose from his passion and appreciation of Southeast Asian art. Winston’s MA thesis, completed days before his 67th birthday, is about the role of the allegory in the social realist artwork of Singapore artists. Winston is a quantity surveying practitioner by profession and an alumnus of the University of Reading, U.K. He was the former managing partner/senior principal of the Singapore and Southeast Asian practices of a global construction and property consultancy, and a practice professor at NUS.
