Stéphanie Xatart trained in general art history at Ecole du Louvre, Paris where she specialised in Oceanic Art. Between 2004 and 2007, she was research assistant in the Art of Asia, Oceania and Africa Department at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Expanding her horizons to modern and contemporary art practices, Stephanie obtained a Goldsmiths-validated MA in Asian Art Histories from LASALLE College of the Arts in 2015. Her dissertation is titled Materiality in the Art of Sopheap Pich: a Matter of Authenticity.
