A graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques (“Sciences-Po”, Paris, France) and holding a Masters degree in Economy from University Paris 2 (France), Marie Mol moved to Asia in the early 90’s to be the Executive Director of the French Chamber of Commerce until 1996.After a few years in Switzerland, where she worked as an independent consultant, she moved back to Singapore in 2010. She then decided to do a career change and to become part of the growing art scene in Singapore. Marie joined the Singapore Art Museum Docents community and co-founded “Intersections”, which is a nomadic gallery and art consultancy. As SAM Docent she was co-head of the Training Programme in 2012-2013 and is presently SAM Coordinator. Marie’s research interest is on contemporary women artists in Myanmar.
