In 2010, LASALLE launched its MA Asian Art Histories programme, the world’s first MA programme to focus on Asian modern and contemporary art histories. 15 years strong in 2024, the programme continues to champion a focus on Asian modern and contemporary art histories, nurturing a nuanced and impactful appreciation of art from Asia and a diverse community of scholars who seek to make a difference.

To celebrate this milestone, we welcomed alumni Yvonne Wang, Howie Lau and Pauline Gan to reflect on their academic experiences. Dr Iola Lenzi, Dr Sarena Abdullah and Dr Francis Maravillas also graced the event, discussing the evolving arts industry in a uniquely Asian environment. These panels were moderated by alumna Adeline Lim and MA Asian Art Histories Programme Leader Jeffrey Say.
