We are delighted to announce that two of our alumni, Ramesh and Elaine (from the class of 2018 and 2017 respectively) will be presenting their research papers as part of the Chinese Art and Cultural Research Grant, a collaboration between the MA Asian Art Histories Programme at LASALLE and the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre. Under the grant, the candidates were given funding to do a one-year research on a topic relating to Chinese art and culture.

Elaine’s research is on early Chinese studio photography of Chinese women in Singapore while Ramesh’s research is a photo essay on Chinese opera in Singapore.

This event is online and will be moderated by Jeffrey Say, the Programme Leader of the MA Asian Art Histories programme.
