Anette holds a B.A. in Visual Communication from the University of Applied Sciences in Aachen, Germany, as well as an M.A.in Asian Art Histories from LASALLE College of the Arts in Singapore. She used to work successfully in the advertising industry, becoming an awarded Creative Director with extensive experience in photography, traditional media and commercial design. As an art history graduate, her main objective is to provide a valuable platform between East and West for current and interdisciplinary research and critical debate, as well as a crucial public understanding of Asian contemporary Art and Art History. For her thesis, Anette did a study of Chinese contemporary artist Ai Weiwei and, in the process, actually flew to Beijing to interview the artist himself.
