The Getty Foundation has funded a research programme developed by the University of Sydney’s The Power Institute Foundation for Art and Visual Culture in conjunction with regional partners. Titled “Ambitious Alignments: New Histories of Southeast Asian Art”, the programme brings together early career scholars from Australia and Southeast Asia to pursue independent research and chart new methodological approaches.
